High Stakes Poker Season 3 Episode 4
By Glenn Cole | February 7, 2007
Victor Ramdin makes a tournament move for his last $7.000 of his buy in and “Mr. calling station”, Jamie Gold will give him action with a rather weak hand. The battle between Doyle Brinson and Jamie Gold is still going strong in this episode.

No change in the seats from the late part of episode 3, where Paul Wasicka took the place of Shahram “Shawn” Sheikhan and Daniel Negreanu traded places again with Gabe Kaplan:
Seat 1: Mike Matusow
Seat 2: Jamie Gold
Seat 3: Daniel Alaei
Seat 4: Paul Wasicka
Seat 5: Victor Ramdin
Seat 6: Daniel Negreanu
Seat 7: William Chen
Seat 8: Doyle Brunson
After some minutes in to the show Victor Ramdin picks up pockets Kings. At this point he has only got like $7.000 left from his original buy in and goes all in. This mean a 12 times big blind raise and like zero money in the pot before the move. Another weird move by Ramdin in my opinion, but of course will Jamie give him action with KT suited… If this were a tournament, I would understand Ramdin but now, no. Any way this play lead up to a double up for the guy. Following hand will be successful for Ramdin again, and went from $7.000 to almost $40.000 in two straight hands.
Doyle Brunson and Jamie Gold is heads up in some pots again, and most of the time Doyle ends up victorious. In one specific hand Doyle calls Gold in every street with A high, even the €10.000 bet after the river. Of course Doyle is reading Gold correctly and his A high is the best hand. I don’t understand how he could make this kind of play sometimes, and he seems so sure that he has the winning hand. I have read the no limit part in his book Super System 2 many times, but can’t find anything about these plays.
When 4/5 of the show has played Wasicka decided to play his first hand of the evening. And now you understand how loose Gold is; he is giving everyone at the table action, and trying to bluff, for the moment the most solid player at the table; this ends with a $35.000 pot to Paul Wasicka.
The last hand for the evening is Victor Ramdin all in pre flop with KJ off suit and gets called by Daniel Alaei with JJ. Care to guess who will win?
