High Stakes Poker Season 3 Episode 5
By Glenn Cole | February 13, 2007
A new player at the table, Brian Townsend and he is making a name for himself, playing aggressive and a lot of hands. Later on Eli Elezra and Barry Greenstein joins the table and starts to harass each other with a lot of raises and re-raises. Barry Greenstein play very unpredictable as you will see in this week’s episode.

For this week’s episode there will be some new “old” faces at the table, like Jennifer Harman and Erick Lindgren. But this episode is the first ever with Brian Townsend, playing in seat 1.
Seat 1: Brian Townsend
Seat 2: Jamie Gold
Seat 3: Daniel Alaei
Seat 4: Paul Wasicka
Seat 5: Victor Ramdin
Seat 6: Daniel Negreanu
Seat 7: Jennifer Harman
Seat 8: Erick Lindgren
Last time Erick Lindgren first sat down, he got in to a really big pot. It almost starts out the same way, but this time Lindgren lay down his gut shot straight draw after the flop. In the next hand Ramdin bets his straight on the river when it is three queens on the table, as well as the flush possibility… It seemed he thought his straight was good, and then I ask, how? Well I have said earlier I don’t understand his moves sometimes.
Once again, Gold can’t find a way to fold any hand pre-flop, no matter the raises, and the new man at the table Brian Townsend see the opportunity in this, and letting Gold bluff every street when drawing dead.
Half way in the episode some more “old” faces join the table. I’m talking about Barry Greenstein and Eli Elezra. Both players are in their first hand of the evening, and it ends up in a great pot when Barry Greenstein moves all in on the turn after a $22.000 raise of Eli Elezra. The old man takes the pot with J high, no hand and no draw. I like his style, everyone knows that in most hands Greenstein is very conservative and therefore he could make this kind of moves, with a smaller risk than usual. His play is rather different from most of the professionals, and it would be really nice reading his book “Ace on the river”. There he is talking about playing poker profitable, and isn’t that we all play poker for? These two gentlemen is making trouble for each other though out this episode, involved in big pots against each other.
When 10 minutes or so is left of the episode, Sam Farha sits down at the table. And if you guys have seen Farha in action before, you understand why the table changes immediately with his appearance. A lot of talk, a lot of action, and a lot of money in the middle.
