High Stakes Poker Season 3 Episode 8
By Glenn Cole | March 7, 2007
It starts out with Harman catches the semi nut and she don’t know if Elezra has the ultimate nuts or not. Later on there is an enormous pot between Erick Lindgren and Jennifer Harman, when Townsend first tried to steal the pot away from both of them.

It’s the same players as before, but I’m almost certain that some of them will give up their seat some time in this episode, because some of them have been playing for a long time now.
Seat 1: Brian Townsend
Seat 2: Sam Farha
Seat 3: Todd Brunson
Seat 4: Paul Wasicka
Seat 5: Barry Greenstein
Seat 6: Eli Elezra
Seat 7: Jennifer Harman
Seat 8: Erick Lindgren
This week starts out with a limp pot with five players involved. Harman catches the semi nut on the turn, and is up against Elezra with nothing. This play is quite weak; though the only card that would beat here was the queen of diamond, and she would get at call by J/T/9 or even lower of diamond for certain. She said she was afraid getting check raised, but she plays against Elezra, one of the loosest player at the table, and would get action from many hands that Harman could beat.
Harman is involved in next pot as well, but this pot is a bit more juicer, a pot worth over $180.000 and can thank Brian Townsend a bit for that. Harman raises pre flop with AK of hearts and gets called by Erick Lindgren with pocket tens. Brian tries to make a move, re raising the pot with rags and both players before him calls. The flop is ten high with two hearts, quite good flops for both Harman with her nut flush draw and two over cards and Lindgren with his top set. But both players check to Townsend, who will bet the pot with nine high. This will lead to a call from Harman and a re raise all in by Lindgren which will make Townsend throw away his hand and Harman is almost obligated to call, though she gets the right odds to play. As we have seen before in High Stakes Poker, they decide to run the turn and the river twice. Lindgren’s set holds up on both run, and takes the enormous pot.
Farha takes a shot at the next hand making a large raise, when five people before has limped in at the straddle pot. Too bad Todd Brunson limped in with AK of spades. Of course he makes a big re raise, forcing Farha out. Funny thing happen the hand after, same procedure, many limpers before, and Wasicka making a large raise. But this time the players give him respect and everyone folds. This shows that the players play the opponent and that Wasicka is clever enough to understand that.
Wasicka is trying to trap someone with pockets aces, but ends up in disaster with the whole table limping in. Credits to him though, when he is able to fold an over pair, when it is just a small bet. Greenstein made trips on the flop and Todd Brunson had the flush draw, which he later made and took the pot.
Farha gives up his seat later on to Phil Laak, but Laak is quite conservative and the table changes a bit when Farha steps out.
The last hand of the evening grows quite big, when Townsend is trying one of his moves again with 73 of spades when Erick Lindgren is looking down on pocket queens. But Townsend catches a flush draw, that’s why this pot becomes over $80.000.
