Poker After Dark Season 1

By Glenn Cole | April 26, 2007

A new poker show is here, and is here to stay. It’s called Poker After Dark, and the game is Texas Hold’em, a six player sit’n’go where the winner takes all.

So there is no prize money even to the runner up, so the players have to play fast and aggressive to accumulate chips, so they won’t get short stacked later on in the tournament. All players have bought in for 20.000 making the total prize pot of $120.000 to the winner on every table.

Every table is a tough table, though only topnotch poker players have joined this show. Or what do you think of players like Phil Hellmuth, Alan Cunningham, Mike Matusow, Gus Hansen, Huck Seed, Johnny Chan, Doyle Brunson, Phil Laak, Sam Farha, Phil Ivey, Erick Lindgren etc. As you see, it has only joined people who have been around in the poker circuit for a long time, taking home big tournament and big prizes before.

The host of Poker After Dark is Shana Hiatt, well known from tournaments like World Poker Tour. Isn’t she just fabulous? Simultaneously as the game is on, Shana interviews the seated and is as well talking to the players when the go out from the tournament, asking what they thought about their own play, and the table with the different opponents.

The tables have five separate episodes through every week, and a sixth that is a highlight episode of the week. This episode also includes bloopers from the show’s host, Shana Hiatt.

A little sneak peak on the bloopers:

Any how, I think you all find this show interesting, with a lot of great players and moves.
